PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (PT Vale)  merupakan perusahan tambang dan pengolahan nikel terintegrasi yang beroperasi di Blok Sorowako, Kabupaten Luwu Timur, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. PT Vale merupakan bagian dari Vale, perusahaan multitambang asal Brasil yang beroperasi di 30 negara dengan total pekerja dan kontraktor di seluruh unit bisnisnya mencapai 110.000 orang. PT Vale menambang nikel laterit untuk menghasilkan produk akhir berupa nikel dalam matte. Volume produksi nikel PT Vale rata-rata mencapai 75.000 metrik ton per tahunnya. Dalam memproduksi nikelnya di Blok Sorowako, PT Vale menggunakan teknologi pyrometalurgi atau teknik smelting (meleburkan bijih nikel laterit).

Posisi:

1. Sr. Ventilation Engineer (Permanent)
The Senior Ventilation Engineer role is responsible for undertaking mine ventilation and cooling design & planning, trade-off studies, cost estimation, technical review, and project evaluation. Lead initiatives to optimize ventilation & cooling strategies taking into consideration the impact on production/opex/capex. The role holder is responsible to identify and implement improvement ideas of value engineering, while ensuring the projects are delivered within the safety and quality objectives agreed for the project.

Accountabilities :
  • Responsible to ensure all ventilation requirements satisfy all conditions set by the relevant legislation and company standards/guidelines.
  • Develop business cases for ventilation related improvement projects.
  • Ensure project documentation such as ventilation design, technical reports, and study decision notice are received, commented, responded and incorporated in project archives.
  • Mitigates deliverables delays by coordinating the different tasks and establishing priorities.
  • Ensures measurement of progress on all contracts for reporting progress to the Mine Engineering Lead and broader team as required.
  • Ensures scope forecast of cost and schedule is updated as prescribed by the project requirements.

Requirements :
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant study with 3.0 GPA from a possible 4.0 total GPA;
  • Minimum 7 years of experience – preferably in mining exploration project or oil & gas industry;
  • Good English proficiency (verbal & written) is essential;
  • A strong knowledge & skills in civil construction (FIDIC contract), site camp support, price agreement, material management and local content requirements;
  • A strong knowledge & skills in procurement process especially on sourcing & Contract/PO administration; negotiation with local supplier and problem solving;
  • Familiar and able to work with local supplier/community in remote area; and
  • Good skills in operating Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point & SAP.

2. Recruitment Analyst (Contract)
The Recruitment Analyst responsibilities including identifying future hiring needs, designing job descriptions, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews, performing reference check, prepare employment offer, filing paperwork, and keeping abreast of employment law and legislation.

Accountabilities :
  • Identifying future hiring needs and developing job descriptions and specifications.
  • Collaborating with department managers to compile a consistent list of requirements.
  • Screening resumes.
  • Performing in-person and phone interviews with candidates.
  • Administering appropriate company assessments.
  • Performing reference and background checks.
  • Making recommendations to company hiring managers.
  • Coordinating interviews with the hiring managers.

3. Sr. Procurement Analyst (Drilling) (Contract)
To perform purchasing and contracting activities, manage tender process, and other procurement support within the Hu’u projects.

Accountabilities :
  • Ensure proper and sound financial and business evaluation of the company greenfield and brownfield projects and other projects in the APAC region to facilitate the company study decision. The evaluation includes comprehensive identification and assessment of potential financial and tax risks, cost estimate of Capex and Opex, so that best decision can be made on the progression of studies in the portfolio.
  • Responsible for ensuring capital cost and operating cost estimate are following the standard procedure and system for project planning and schedule, with proper WBS structure as stated in in SPE.
  • Support Project Services to lead the coordination of preparation and submission of the company study budgets.
  • To be part of joint team in evaluating analysis required for Term Sheet negotiation with partners for Greenfield Project developments.

Requirements :
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree on Supply Chain Management/Business Administration or another related major min GPA 3.00.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience – preferably from mining exploration project or oil & gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge & skill related to drilling and EPCI.
  • Must have good attention to details.
  • Familiar to work with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point and SAP system.
  • Good English skill (verbal & written) is a must.
  • Able to manage time and handle multiple tasks.
  • Able to work independently/less supervision.

4. Sr. Project Financial Evaluation Analyst (Contract)
Prepare, assess, evaluate, and provide recommendation from financial and business evaluation on PT Vale Explorasi Indonesia, (PT VEI) Greenfield and Brownfield project such as Hu’u and other projects in the APAC region to facilitate PT VEI study decision.

Accountabilities :

5. QAQC Analyst (Contract)
The QAQC analyst will be responsible to ensure data quality documentation and will work close with our APAC Project Studies Resource Specialist.
Accountabilities :
Resource data compilation:
  • Incrementally prepare and update the resource related datasets.
  • Checking the quality of the new resource data as it is received, and the timely identification of data quality issues requiring remedial action including all non-assay data e.g., downhole orientation data, bulk density data etc.
  • Incremental updating of all relevant QC results and statistics and graphs etc. and of all exploratory data analysis statistics and graphs.
  • Preliminary incremental resource estimates:
  • Set-up Seequent EDGE such that incremental resource estimates can be quickly derived on a hole-by-hole basis.
  • Run said preliminary incremental resource updates to evaluate hole by hole changes to the estimates.
  • Assay QC statistical analysis:
  • Input into the QC evaluation aspects of the assay datasets from a resource point-of-view.
  • Preparation of the QC report pertaining to assay data quality for the resource documentation.
 
Requirements :
  • Undergraduate degree in Earth Science (Geology) with some practical geological experience – exploration and/or mine and/or resource geology.
  • Experience in Porphyry Copper-style deposits viewed favorably. Ideally (but not necessarily) with some mine geology experience.
  • Good data handling skills including data manipulation, basic calculations, basic statistical analysis, development of graphs from data and interpretation.
  • Basic sampling theory understanding – experience in identifying correct sampling equipment and methods; familiarity with common comminution, splitting and assaying methods and inherent potential problems.
  • Basic assay data quality assessment experience – comparing assay duplicates, determining data accuracy and precision. Identifying sampling bias and reviewing other datasets for data quality (e.g. geological, bulk density, survey data, mass loss etc).
